Naked States is a
state-by-state journey of the United States of
America by artist Spencer Tunick. Spencer staged unique nude
photographs in each of the fifty states and will exhibit the final
photographs in this space and at the I-20 Gallery in New York City.
The dramatic nature of Spencer's photo shoots provides participants with a new vision of themselves and their surroundings. Americans of every race, religion, and body size were invited to take part in this project. Participants model for the artist in their own home state in exchange for a limited-edition signed print.
Throughout the journey, Spencer and Kristin sent updates and documentation daily of their progress, click here to read the journal.
With the Naked States project complete, Spencer is seeking models to pose, places to sleep, and assistance in organizing future shoots both in the U.S. and abroad. Please send email to firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer or help. If you want to pose, please fill out our short form.
